Description
Kit includes everything needed to build the complete air frame.
Art Scholl modified a standard DHC-1 Trainer air frame for air show work by fitting a larger engine, rudder, elevators and ailerons. The airframe also had to be generally strengthened and this resulted in every skin panel being replaced with thicker aluminium to facilitate a higher G stress rating. Stunning aerobatic and vertical performance can be achieved with engines such as a 3W-28, Moki 2.10, ST3250, Brison 2.0, Quadra 42 and Zenoah G38. This aircraft is the perfect introduction to large scale radio controlled aerobatic models and brings smooth precision flight well within the average modellers capability. Many leading competition and display pilots have bought one of our Pennzoil or Pepsi Super Chipmunks for the sheer relaxation and pleasure of flying a classic scale aerobatic model which has real character. The air frame is very strong and is designed to perform high stress maneuvers. The landing is a gentle glide with no tendency to drop a wing when flaring out. Flaps are standard and significantly assist small field operation. These are everyday aircraft, designed to perform perfectly at any location and in all weathers.
